ステラ マリナー ヨットクラブ has very active racing programs. In the J/24 class, member races are held every Tuesday and Wednesday evening throughout the season. The Corporate Sailing League is held every Thursday.
レースについてより深く学ぶ最善の方法は、このコース「レース入門 レベル1」にお申し込みいただくことです。レースボートに乗って実際に競い合い、コースを駆け抜ける醍醐味を体験的に学ぶことができます。
また、以下の入門コースへのご参加もお勧めしています。 レーシングファンダメンタルズ. This is classroom work which teaches you the concepts and theory behind sailboat races.
If you have this theoretical knowledge before doing “Learn to Race – Level 1,” you will advanced much further.
レーシングファンダメンタルズが教室での理論コースであるのに対し、レース入門 レベル1は実際のレース中に水上で学ぶコースです。インストラクターとともにレースに参加し、毎週少しずつ知識と技術を積み重ねていきます。
すでにレースについてある程度ご存知の方は、レーシングファンダメンタルズやレベル1を受講せずに、レース入門 レベル2から始めることも可能です。
レース入門 レベル1で練習する内容の一部をご紹介します：
- 艤装とスタートラインへの時間通りの到着
- スタートとラインへの近づき方
- 安全確保と他艇との距離の保ち方
- トリミングと風上での艇速アップの方法
- マーク回航のルールと安全確保
- セーリングレースルールの適用
- 風向変化とそれによる有利・不利の判断。
ご注意：レース入門 レベル1はスピネーカーを使用しないコースです。艇速アップ、効率的なタッキング、スタート、タクティクス、風向変化など、レベル1のコースで学ぶべきことはすでに多岐にわたります。スピネーカーは、基礎をマスターした後のレース入門 レベル2で導入されます。
夜間スケジュール
Learn to Race is taught on Thursday evenings for 4 weeks in a row. Students should arrive at the docks no later than 6:05 pm. However, it is much better to arrive by 5:50 pm so you can be part of the process of rigging the boat. All of this is learning. The race sequence usually begins by 6:35 pm.
Racing normally take about 1.5 to 2 hours. After racing, teams sail back to dock where they unrig. Then the fun and active social part of race culture kicks in. Many teams bring BBQs for dinner after racing. Teams can bring their own beverages which are stored on ice in the communal cooler. Then after racing, everyone hangs out, shares stories, meets other sailors and generally has a good time. For the teams that hang out the longest, the club closes at 10 pm each evening.
天候と補講について
セーリングは自然の影響を受けるアウトドアスポーツです。4週間のプログラム中、風が強すぎる・弱すぎる・嵐など、理想的でない日が1日以上あることは珍しくありません。微風のためレースが成立しない夜でも、受講生はボート上で学習を続けます。強風や嵐などでセーリングができない夜は、インストラクターとともにレース理論を議論したり、教育的なレース動画を視聴したりします。
After the races each evening, there is an awards ceremony, Maybe you will get on the podium! It is such a thrill. When you win your first glass, you will treasure it!

2025年スケジュール
毎週木曜日の夜、4週間にわたるプログラムです。ドックには午後5時50分までにお越しください。遅くとも午後6時05分までにはお越しいただく必要があります。

#LTR1-03 – 2025年7月10日、17日、24日 & 31日

クラス定員と受講料
Each Learn to Race boat is limited to 4 students plus the instructor. Each course must be full with 4 students for the class to move forward. The tuition is ¥85,000 per person. If you need to change or cancel your reservation more than 2 weeks ahead of time, there is a $75 charge. Because space is limited and only full boats can participate, no cancellations are permitted within the final 2 weeks unless your spot can be filled by a student on the waiting list.
